The roofs at Highland Park experienced damage that resulted in an insurance claim. A copy of the Sworn Statement of Loss is available by following the link below. Each owner of record will be responsible for a portion of the deductible. If you have been following the Association information, you may have purchased the insurance rider that covers you for a loss such as this, (the deductible). Please contact your insurance agent directly to ask if you are covered for catastrophic loss deductibles in an HOA.

The deductible is: $ 268.12 for efficiencies, $ 573.28 for one-bedrooms, $ 886.48 for two-bedrooms, and $ 927.55 for three-bedrooms.

THE DEDUCTIBLE IS DUE BY DECEMBER 10, 2022. YOU MAY PAY ALL OR PART AT ANY TIME. YOU MAY PAY BY CREDIT CARD THROUGH PAYHOA ONLINE PORTAL.

Frequently asked questions:

1.   Who is the Roofer? - The roofer is the same roofer that installed the roof after the 2011 storms. (Daryl Deaton Construction manager)

2.   Couldn't we get a cheaper bid? - Obtaining a lower bid will not change the deductible. The deductible is based on the % of the value of the buildings, not the price the HOA pays for the job.

3.   When will this start? - The work will start in the next 2-3 weeks. Further notice will be posted on doors.

4.   Why are we just now hearing about this? - The Board has been working through a lengthy process to evaluate the loss and find a way to obtain the financing to complete the work now, and allow owners to pay out over 6 months.

5.   What is PayHoa? - PayHoa is the online portal for the HOA. Once your account is invoiced for the deductible, you can review the amount online and pay against the balance at any time and in any amount.

Please refer to your own insurance company and the Covenants online before contacting management. If you have questions about the deductible you may email the management company. Please do not call the management company as they cannot respond with documentation in this manner.
